Heritage Farms

In 2025, Adams County proudly celebrated its Bicentennial. As part of this historic milestone, the county recognized more than 80 farms that have remained in the same family for over 150 years. These sesquicentennial farms represent generations of dedication, hard work, and stewardship of the land.

Throughout the Bicentennial year, the Bicentennial Commission made special recognition of these farms. Each was presented with a commemorative sign and featured in the Bicentennial Heritage Farms Pavilion, honoring their lasting contributions to Adams County’s agricultural heritage.

The Adams County Recorder’s Office looks forward to celebrating with even more family farms as they reach a remarkable 100 or 150-year milestone in the years ahead.
